With Nintendo Wii Fun For Everyone Is A Guarantee
We here at the Wii Showroom have researched the pros and cons of owning a Wii. I will start off by first stating why you should maybe NOT buy a Wii Console (i.e. the Cons). Hmmm…Hmmm…Hmmm…Pondering….Hmmm…I’m happy to say that we could not find any cons worth mentioning.
So let’s then get straight to the good stuff about Wii Games and why we feel so strongly that you will enjoy owning a Wii Console. NINTENDO WII IS FOR EVERYONE – irrespective of whether you are a hard core 35 year old gamer still living in your old lady’s basement because of your gaming obsession or if you are a grandpa who is as scared of anything remotely technology related like someone who is allergic to bee’s, and every time you see a console you go running as if it is the mother of all bee hives. The Wii has such a diverse collection of games and is so easy, interactive and fun to play with its intuitive motion controls that everyone in the family, whether it be the hard core gamer nephew or gramps, will enjoy some or other aspect of it.
Watching Granpa showing off his boxing skills in Wii Fit Boxing is almost just as much fun as playing Wii games yourself. All the old timer (said with lots of respect) has to do is throw a couple of punches while holding the Nunchuks. No experience needed – except his boxing skills of course. The point I’m trying to make is that the magnificent Wii gaming console delivers a fun social activity for the whole family and must surely be the only gaming console that can bridge generation gaps so easily because of its user friendliness. If you don’t enjoy it you probably also don’t like puppies, ice cream or having fun – in which case you’re a lost cause anyways, so sorry, nothing (not even 1000 free Wii games) or no-one will be able to help your grumpy ass (excuse my french, but some folks just don’t get it).
Lets have a quick look at what type of games you can expect from Wii. I will try and keep it short so that you don’t get bored, but still end up having a better understanding as to why wii (and by wii I mean we…get it… wii we wii we wii we, sorry getting a bit carried away with a lame cheesy joke hey?)…..why we are so sure that the Wii Console can be enjoyed by everyone.
The collection of games available will probably cover any type of gaming preference you might have. From skateboarding to golfing, racing to fishing, yoga to karate, the legendary Mario Bros and just too many more to mention. There is definitely a game available for everyone in the Wii collection and too many to mention here (please refer to the Wii Showroom game pages after reading this article to check out some of the best games available). In my fav game of all time, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario can roll on a ball through a treacherous garden, or surf on a ray in the clouds across an ocean, or even float in a bubble over a poisonous swamp as you travel from one galaxy to the next. Even though this is not nescessarily a hard core gamers game, it’s probably also not for anyone who is still a bit weary of gaming consoles. For the ultimate Mario fan there is a whole collection of other Mario Games available, from Mario & Sonic at the Olympics to Mario Kart.
What better way to bring people together than with music? Well then, if you want some entertianment for that next boring family seminar then get out Wii Guitar Hero 5. Family members can do some bonding by jamming together or go at it solo. Uncle John can have everyone in stitches when he sings his favourite and ridiculously funny Bob Dylan song. Just a small warning though, ear pain caused by Dad’s singing which sounds more like a Bear with a sore paw, is unfortunately not covered by The Wii Showroom or Nintendo.. Whoever you choose to give the microphone to is fully at your own risk. Good times are however a guarantee with this get the party started game!
We definitely also need to quickly mention Wii Fit. Now you’ll probabbly think I’m crazy, but thanks to Wii exercising has become a whole lot more fun than it use to be? For some or other reason though exercise becomes a whole lot more fun when playing an interactive game that is in essence actually a type of exercise simulation. There is a variety of different execise games like skateboarding, yoga, boxing, obstacle courses and rhythm kung fu to but name a few and with the Wii Balance Board you’ll be having a blast in no time. Just by playing a few games you’ll be working up a sweat, you heart will be getting some exercise and Mr.Couch Potatoe will be doing some exercises without even noticing it. Don’t expect to become the next Carl Lewis though, you will however be much better off health wise than the guy who is just lying around doing nothing and you’ll probably be having fun….I’m being dead serious….exercise while you’re having fun. Impossible? Just try it, what have you got to loose (pardon the pun).
There is another aspect of gaming that I personally view very important…time limitation. Who in today’s rushed world has time to really sit down and get to know all the ins and outs of a game, so that you can play it from start to finish. Most of us just don’t have the time to become total game fanatics. With work, family responsibilities, studying, functions, exercising because we have to (health), doing groceries, shopping, rushing here and there etc. etc. etc…..the average non hard core gamer just wants to relax while playing games without having to get too serious. Nintendo Wii Games provides all of that with the added bonus of being able to provide an awesome interactive social experience. Make no mistake though, this doesn’t mean the Wii Console is for amateur gamers only. It is just able to connect with people who have different levels of gaming experience whether it be your first time playing or game number 1000. That probably makes the Wii the best all round gaming console available on the market today.
Fans of other gaming consoles can say what they want but Nintendo Wii is still the most user friendly gaming console around for the average Joe. There is one last fact I need to make you aware of if you don’t already know it…..Nintendo Wii is the fastest selling gaming console of all time. These are the facts and as they say the proof is in the pudding. Over 75 million units have already been sold worldwide and we predict many more will still be sold. Whether you become part of the worldwide Wii family is of course entirely up to you. As far as we are concerned Nintendo Wii is truly for Everyone……….. So what are you waiting for?
