Those of you who are familiar with silk painting?
Im thinking of doing a silk painting for my art GCSE coursework, but it needs to be presented “neatly”.
Usually my issue is the fraying edges when the silk had been cut, but if i wrapped it around a canvas and secured it in place would it hold up?
It’s just i wouldn’t want to do it to find i had no way of presenting it later, because then I’d be pretty much screwed. :

My suggestion would not get silk that has to be cut, but get a large silk hankerchief that has a thin trim around the edge. thats what i use at least.
